ALTY take on Blyth Spartans at The J.Davidson Stadium tonight (7:45pm) as the Robins look to follow up their impressive win at the weekend.

Phil Parkinson's men swept aside play-off rivals Chester 4-0 thanks to second half goals from Josh Hancock (2), Joe Pigott and John Johnston and another three points would only help in the Robins' quest to finish in the play-off positions come May.

Blyth lie in 13th and haven't quite built on a season that saw them finish just four points away from the play-offs last campaign, but manager Alun Armstrong will be pleased that his side have kept their heads above water in only their second season back at this level after promotion in 2017.

Spartans went down 3-1 at home to Brackley Town at the weekend and haven't had the best of starts to the calendar year, winning only one league game since January.

However, they do have plenty of quality in their ranks and so the Robins will have to be on their game if they are to come away with another victory.

Last time out:

The last meeting between both clubs came in September when Blyth came away with a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture.

Sean Reid's opener was levelled almost immediately by Josh Hancock in an entertaining encounter at Croft Park.

However, Jarrett Rivers would score the winner for Spartans just eight minutes from time as they came away with all three points.
