ALTRINCHAM face another festive clash against Stockport County at The J. Davidson Stadium on New Years' Day (3pm) in the National League North as they look to get the better of their local rivals at the fourth attempt this season.
Connor Hampson's last-minute equaliser earned the Robins a share of the spoils in the 2-2 draw with Guiseley on Saturday afternoon and they will now look to get back to winning ways against a side that have knocked them out of both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy so far this campaign.
Phil Parkinson will of course have the benefit of being able to call upon striker Jordan Hulme who has completed his three-match ban and rejoins the squad.
Despite the performances against Jim Gannon's Stockport so far this season perhaps not warranting the results, the Hatters have managed to get the better of the side so far this campaign and boss Phil Parkinson will be hoping that this is something that will change this time around.
County have been improving in form themselves as of late, and they were also benefitted from a late goal at the weekend as Sam Minihan's strike four minutes from time earned them all three points at home to Kidderminster Harriers, taking their unbeaten run in the league to six games and seeing them move up to third in the table.
Last time out:
The sides met in the reverse league fixture on Boxing Day, with goals from Jamie Stott and Frank Mulhern either side of half-time earning Stockport a 2-0 victory at Edgeley Park.
Altrincham started the game well and hit the post through Ashley Hemmings early on but the Hatters grew into the game and came away with the three points.
The sides also met in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup and in the FA Trophy, where Stockport came away with 2-0 and 1-0 wins respectively.

Away fans will be positioned in the Hale End terrace along with the 180 seats in the Smart Storage Family Stand. If numbers exceed expectation, the segregation fence may be moved for safety purposes to accommodate more fans on the Popular Side terrace.
