ALTRINCHAM head to Curzon Ashton in the first of two festive fixtures against our local rivals on Boxing Day (3pm), as the Robins look to get local bragging rights heading into 2020.
Phil Parkinson's side are still looking to move higher up the table with their games in hand which would make a big difference to their position with how tight the National League North is, and the Robins will now be looking to finish the year on a high.
Curzon are just outside the relegation zone and are fighting for their lives at the foot of the table, but three of their five wins this campaign have come in their last five games so there has been a definite upturn form for Mark Bradshaw's side.
Former youth coach Bradshaw has been with the Nash for over a decade and guided the club to safety last campaign and will be hoping to do the same again at the close of a decade that has been the most successful in the Nash's history.
The two fixtures last campaign saw the Robins lose 2-0 at home in September before a fantastic 6-0 away win in February at the Tameside Stadium, and another victory there would be most welcome.
The Tameside Stadium is just 20-25 mins drive from The J Davidson Stadium and parking is available at the ground with a secondary overflow car park if needed.

Curzon Ashton is also well served by Metrolink. Supporters should use the trams to Ashton West and the ground is 5-10 mins walk.
