It's the time of year for raising a glass to football's winners and achievers, and there is surely no better way of doing it than sampling some of the delights on offer at Altrincham FC's eighth annual beer festival.
If you fear being a little unsteady on your feet by the end of the holiday weekend, don't worry. You're not alone - local brewers have been falling over themselves for weeks to be part of the prestigious festival and have their wares sampled and analysed by Altrincham's ale aficionados!
There are 26 beers to be tapped into - something for every palate - as well as a host of other attractions that will make The J.Davidson Stadium the place to be over the next few days.
There's live music, open mic sessions, some football on the hallowed turf (not Alty, of course, as they face Chorley away in the play-offs on Sunday at 3pm) and a wide range of other entertainment, kicking off tonight at 7.30pm with The Retrobeats, who will recreate the sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s in the Community Sports Hall, and ending with a Family Fun Day on Bank Holiday Monday.
Here is the running order for the weekend's activities!
