Dean Furman has left Altrincham after his contract at The J.Davidson Stadium came to an end.
The vastly-experienced midfielder - a consummate professional throughout his time at the club, as befits a former captain of the South Africa national side - signed a short-term deal at Alty on August 25th after impressing in the final friendly of the pre-season programme away to Huddersfield Town B.
He made his first competitive appearance in Alty colours as a 62nd-minute substitute for Ben Pringle in the 1-0 home win over Notts County on Saturday, September 25th and was handed a full debut at Dagenham & Redbridge a week later, playing the full 90 minutes in the Robins' dramatic 3-2 victory.
In all, he made 12 appearances for Alty, six as a substitute and six in the starting line-up.
A highly-respected and popular figure on and off the pitch, everyone at the club would like to thank him for his contribution in Alty colours and wish him all the very best for the future.
