Hereford v Altrincham match preview

ALTY make the trip to Hereford on Saturday afternoon (3pm) as they look to pick up a fourth straight league victory at Edgar Street.

The Robins followed up last weekend's 3-0 victory over Ashton United with a 4-0 success over Nuneaton Borough on Tuesday night, and so will go into the fixture with their confidence sky high.

The newly reformed Hereford FC are making their way up the divisions after a turbulent few years off the field, and they won their third promotion on the spin when they won the Southern League title last season.

They have had a rocky start to life in the National League North and parted company with boss Peter Beadle in September, with him being replaced by former Gloucester City boss Mark Richards a few weeks ago.

He is yet to pick up his first victory as manager but the side have picked up good points at Stockport and AFC Telford as of late, so this will provide Phil Parkinson's side with another tough test.

There is no further injury concerns for Alty coming into this game but James Poole will miss out once again and Phil Parkinson will have to decide whether to draft new signing Charlie Scott straight into the squad.

Last time:

The last meeting between Alty and the former Hereford United took place in April 2006, where a Stuart Fleetwood strike just after the hour mark was enough to separate the two sides as Hereford won promotion to the EFL that very season. The previous meeting between the two sides took place earlier that season and was a goalless draw at Edgar Street.
