In a gesture that says everything about the bond that exists between all sections of Altrincham FC, the players have clubbed together and donated £100 to the Future Robins scheme.
Barely 24 hours after it was announced the initial target of generating 1,000 kids tickets had been surpassed, Phil Parkinson's squad took time out from preparing for Saturday's game against Boreham Wood to dig deep and give the campaign to create a new generation of young Alty fans a further boost.
Recognising the initiative as an effective means of growing the club's fan base and, in the process, enhancing the prospects for continued success, the players raised £100 between them and bought one of the corporate packages on offer, effectively adding another 75 tickets to the overall tally.
Organisers of the scheme passed on their heartfelt thanks for what was a spontaneous show of support from the home dressing room and have been so taken by the way momentum has built up during the week that sights have now been readjusted for the final figure.
With the opening target of 1,000 being reached in a matter of days and the running total sailing past 1,500 in no time at all, they are now aiming for 2,000 as the number of tickets to be distributed among local schools for free admission to a future match at The J.Davidson Stadium.
The clock may be ticking, with the closing tally determined by the number of live streams sold for Alty TV's coverage of Saturday's Boreham Wood game at Broadhurst Park, but there is still time to book your ticket and help bolster the ranks of Alty fans for years to come.
Every purchase counts, and there are four options for buying the live stream:
A £5 ticket gives you access to the live stream, and pays for one future U12s matchday ticket.
A £25 ticket gives you access to the live stream, and pays for 10 future U12s matchday tickets.
A £50 ticket gives you access to the live stream, pays for 25 future U12s matchday tickets, and your kind patronage will also be acknowledged at half-time during the broadcast.
A limited number of £100 corporate tickets are also available. As well as access to the live stream, you will pay for 75 future U12s matchday tickets, and your generosity will be acknowledged at half-time during the broadcast and on Altrincham FC’s official website and social media accounts. You may wish to contact us for more details.

All four options have received a phenomenal response so far, for which the club are truly grateful, with an update on the website yesterday revealing that 12 backers had come forward and pledged £100 each. That figure has now risen, after the players collectively became the 13th benefactor to provide such sterling support.
