Martin Jordan R.I.P.

Altrincham Football Club is very sad to hear of the passing of supporter Martin Jordan, who lost his battle with an aggressive form of cancer, peacefully, this morning, at home, with his wife, Jo, holding his hand.

Martin followed in the footsteps of his father, Phil, one of Alty's longest standing fans, who took him to Moss Lane for the first time in 1980.

'Joe' as he was often called (after Joe Jordan the former Manchester United & Scotland centre forward) had his picture taken with former legendary centre-half Malcolm Bailey at a home game on his 7th Birthday in 1981 & went on to become a regular supporter at home & away matches for over 30 years.

Martin was a larger than life character, who touched the lives of many people & he was exceptionally proud of his family & children.

Our sincere condolences go to Martin's wife, Jo, daughter Ellie, son Ciaran, step-daughter Kiera, father Phil & all of the Jordan family.

Rest in peace, Martin.....taken too soon.
