ALTRINCHAM host Blyth Spartans at the J. Davidson Stadium tonight as the Robins look for their fifth league win on the bounce.
Things suddenly seem to have clicked for Phil Parkinson's side over the festive period, with the team playing the type of football that Alty fans know that they are capable of, and confidence will be high that they can continue that against a Blyth side that have had a difficult season to date but have also done well during the busy Christmas & New Year period.
Former Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark was seen as a big coup for Blyth when he took over in the summer from Alun Armstrong who departed to take over at Darlington, but he had to almost build a new team from scratch as the majority of last season's successful squad joined Armstrong at Darlington or moved to York City or Spennymoor Town.
Spartans will be looking for a hat-trick of away victories, having won at Gateshead on Boxing Day & Kidderminster on Saturday, so Phil Parkinson's team can expect a tough battle.
The last meeting between the two sides came in the dramatic play-off eliminator in May, with Josh Hancock's last gasp equaliser in a 2-2 draw resulting in the tie going all the way to penalties, where the Robins were the victors.
