New Away Travel Coordinator & Update on Opening Day Game at Torquay

We are delighted to advise that John Rooke (picured above at Ashton United on Saturday) is Altrincham FC's new travel coordinator & that Torquay United have advised that they will be welcoming away supporters for the 2021/22 season.

John is a Shropshire based Alty fan, although he has been living in Yorkshire in recent times. He has been a regular user of the supporters' coach for a number of years & will be assisted on away coach trips by Dennis Bate & Darren Jordan.

We are very grateful to John, Dennis & Darren for volunteering to help out & keep our away travel service  operating in what we all hope will be a more normal season.

Following discussions with Torbay Council's Safety Advisory Group (SAG), Torquay United have advised us that Altrincham supporters will be able to travel to Plainmoor for the opening day encounter on Saturday August 21st & that they will be in contact with us in the coming days with further information.

Meanwhile,, we are awaiting confirmation from Trafford Borough Council of regulations for attendance at The J.Davidson Stadium for home games this season, starting with the visit of Dover Athletic on Saturday September 4th.
