Pound the streets to raise pounds for the club!

Altrincham FC are raising funds for the 2019/2020 season with a sponsored walk to Ashton United FC on Saturday, April 27th.

Those taking part in the 16-mile walk will leave The J.Davidson Stadium at 8am and aim to arrive at the Hurst Cross stadium at approximately 2pm, prior to kick-off at 3.00pm.

There is also the option to join the walk for the final mile, from a meeting point at the Metrolink stop in Ashton town centre.

Alty chairman Grahame Rowley said: 'We have walked to Tameside before, raising vital funds for the club, and we hope supporters will join us for the latest hike across to Ashton, ahead of our Vanarama National League North game. I’m hopeful the event will raise significant funds for the club, as we seek to continue improvements we have planned for our ground.'

Participants planning to cover the entire route are asked to raise at least £50, but there is no minimum amount for those choosing to join the walk in Ashton town centre at around 1pm.

Everyone taking part in what has been dubbed the Ashton Amble will be supported by Altrincham FC Community staff, who will be on hand to manage the route. There will also be a support vehicle with refreshments and first aid facilities in support of the group for the duration of the walk.

Fundraisers completing the full 16 miles will have the option of coach transport back to Moss Lane, where there will be an end-of -season marquee party, providing real ale, free food and fantastic live music from Alexander Stewart for the fans, followed by the Players' Awards.

You must be aged 18 or over to take part in this fundraising event. To join in the Ashton Amble, please register and complete all necessary documentation here:
