Altrincham start their pre-season fixtures today with a trip to Shropshire, to take on Whitchurch Alport at Yockings Park for a 3pm kick-off.
Whitchurch Alport's ground location can be seen here:-
Phil Parkinson & Neil Sorvel were planning to involve 4 of last season's youth team today but the unavailability of Dontai Gabidon (holiday), Jack Ryan (work commitments) & Curtis Miller (injured), means that Ben Elliott is the only 1 of the four that we may see & his availability is only a possibility.
2 of our 3 new signings, Nathan Arnold & Conor Branson, will be involved, although Toby Mullarkey is not available today.
There will be a couple of trialists involved in today's game.
Stephen Drench, Jake Moult, John Johnston, Jordan Hulme, Tom Peers & Andy White will not be involved this afternoon due to either being unavailable or injured.
Manager Phil Parkinson says that " I am very excited about the new season & particularly impressed with the fitness levels that the players have returned with from the close season break. It's clear that they have really looked after themselves since the end of the last campaign".
