YOUR FOOTBALL CLUB NEEDS YOU!
Another new season is now just three weeks away. It will be a critical season for the club and one that will start, for all concerned, under a cloud of uncertainty.
It hardly needs stating these are testing times, but, through all the difficulties posed by Covid-19, we have taken a positive and, wherever possible, pro-active approach to coping and keeping the club moving forward.
As a result, preparations both on and off the pitch are going well, and the club are making great strides in achieving our strategic objectives.
We couldn't have done it without you. How many times have we said that? A specific need is identified, and you rally round without fail. Well, we're reaching out again, but, this time, we're after personnel rather than payments.
Over the years, Altrincham FC have been immensely proud of how the Trojan efforts of so many highly-committed volunteers have kept things ticking over, helpers who have ensured every aspect of the club has continued to function effectively.
We are massively grateful for this ongoing support, and such is the value we place on it, we are now looking to recruit more willing volunteers for some key positions. The posts that need filling are outlined below, and they have been created to ensure we continue building on our strategic plan and deliver strong revenue growth for the club, whilst also maintaining smooth operations on and around matchdays.
This is a key role to manage and deliver non-matchday customer events on behalf of the club. The role will require a strong focus on attracting new customers to the club’s events and actively developing existing customers. There is therefore a strong business development aspect to this role.
This role carries responsibility for managing, coordinating and delivering the fundraising activity for our club, seeking new opportunities for growth and tapping into and developing new markets.
The role here will be to maximise the development and servicing of the club’s strategic partners – sponsors and suppliers - creating a successful portfolio of club partners and developing our relationships with them to the benefit of all parties.
Ground Staff Support
We are looking for volunteers to support groundsman Neil Brown and his assistant Bryan Ford at the ground throughout the week as and when required around first team and Man Utd matches.
Pitch Cover Help
We are looking for a group of 15-20 volunteers to support the groundsmen in putting the covers on and off the pitch as and when required. A Whatsapp group will be launched updating all those interested in assisting on when the covers will be laid down and when they will subsequently be removed.
We are looking for an eager volunteer to join the media team to be webmaster for the official club website. Whether it is live text updates on a matchday, general updating of the website, player profiles, maintaining the photo gallery and Alty TV links, or publishing articles written by other members of the team, we are looking for somebody to play a key role in keeping the website in shape!
