Your guide for attending Eastleigh and Torquay games

Altrincham co-chairman Bill Waterson has provided the following update for this week's games against Eastleigh and Torquay United:

It was absolutely fantastic to see fans back in The J. Davidson Stadium yesterday for the pulsating Vanarama National League fixture with Yeovil Town.

Thank you for putting up with all the extra steps needed to ensure you could come into the ground and watch the game safely.  Your co-operation really helped us get you back watching Alty safely and as quickly as possible.

In many respects, yesterday was a bit of an unknown quantity for all of us, but having successfully cleared the hurdle of our first match, we are confident that the next two games will run much smoother.

We have learned some lessons to improve access for you all, and we will be increasing capacity to 900 for Tuesday night's rearranged game with Eastleigh.  Remember it’s a 7pm kick-off.

Firstly, can we ask you all to download the NHS Track and Trace app to your mobile phone.  We need to record all those who arrive at the ground on the app, or, failing that, with a more time-consuming manual process.  We will be increasing resources to capture this information and increasing the number of scanners at the Chequers End to speed up entry at Gate 5.

The NHS App can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-covid-19/

Secondly, we are simplifying the process for those season ticket holders who attended on Saturday.  We have automatically added you as attendees to both remaining games.  You will need to sit or stand in the same place as you did on Saturday and enter through the same gate.  Access to the stadium will be by using your season ticket card.  We will need you to arrive at 6.40pm.

Thirdly, tickets will go on sale for Patrons for both games later on this afternoon, with Eastleigh tickets going on open sale first thing tomorrow morning.  With Torquay (kick-off 12.30pm), we will be delaying open sale for a couple of days to ensure that away fans are not able to buy tickets.

For those buying tickets, you will see changes in the order process.  We are now asking you to specify where you want the ticket at a lower level of detail. We are asking you to select one of the following: Main Stand, Community Sports Hall, Golf Road, Pop Side North, Pop Side South or Chequers End.  This allows us to increase the capacity for the next two games.

All of the above will make the ticket buying process easier and entry to the ground quicker.  I will be putting out further updates during this week on the website and by email.  But if you have any questions relating to the two remaining games, please feel free to drop me a line at [email protected]

We are looking forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday and Saturday.
